Dogs & Horses!

As a dog-friendly family, we welcome you and your dogs to West End Farm.

The area boasts lots of dog-friendly places including beaches, pubs, and cafes.

Right outside the farm is a farm track where you are very welcome to walk your dog – it’s all arable land with no sheep or cows to worry about. Although there is plenty of wildlife around including hares and deer.

We always get asked what we charge for dogs and our answer is…

NOTHING! Your dogs are part of your family, so we wouldn’t dream of charging for them.

Bring Your Dogs & Horses!

As well as being a working arable farm West End Farm is home to our family sports horse stud where we stand 2 stallions and bred a few foals each year.

The Lodge overlooks the stable yard and it’s common to be able to watch the horses from the bedroom window. Guests are very welcome to ask to meet the horses and it may be that you see a newly born foal in the Spring.

For horse owners you are very welcome to bring your horse with you and enjoy riding on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds on quiet farm tracks or maybe a trip to the beach.

Dog Rules

Very few – we just ask that dogs don’t sleep on the beds.

Please clean up after your dog

If you do want to curl up on the sofa with your dog please do use one of the throws provided.

Leaving your dog alone in the cottage – we would prefer that this didn’t happen as your dog (s) may be anxious in a strange house – it’s just not fair on the dog. We can lend you a dog crate just ask before you arrive.
We are confident that our guests are responsible owners and will look after our property. Up to date, this has certainly been our experience so we see no reason to provide a long list of do’s and dont’s.

Dog Day Care

There are a number of people in the area and should you need someone to look after your dog we can help you find the right person and if all else fails as dog lovers one of the family can come and cuddle your dog whilst you are out for the evening.

Vets

We use Aldgate Veterinary Practice ourselves with surgeries in both Driffield and Bridlington.

There are other local vets and we can provide you with details should you need them.
