April has officially arrived, and with it comes a sense of new beginnings across the farm. The air is a little warmer, the fields are turning a vibrant green and the daffodils are spectacular.
Life on the Stud
This is perhaps our favourite time of year If you look out from the back bedroom window, you’ll see the busy stable yard and a few expectant mothers waiting patiently. We are currently on “Foal Watch” and the excitement in the air is palpable. Guests staying with us this month get a front-row seat to the daily rhythms on the stud – from the morning feeds and mucking out to the quiet moments in the afternoon sun. Indeed the first foal of 2026 has already arrived.
Coastal Adventures
With the weather brightening up, it’s the perfect time to explore the East Yorkshire coast. Whether you’re heading into Bridlington for the upcoming Kite Festival or taking a quiet stroll along the sands of Fraisthorpe, the lodge is a welcoming sanctuary to return to.
Your Home Away from Home
We’ve been busy in the Lodge making the room extra cosy for our spring guests. From the new cushions in the twin room to the light filled living area, every corner is ready for you to kick off your shoes and relax. The well stocked kitchen and large farmhouse table in the dining area is just perfect for those long, lazy holiday breakfasts that start your day off right.
We still have a few midweek dates available in April and 1 weekend left in May. We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm and hopefully, introduce you to some of our mares and foals during your stay.
